The Pickling Line (Push Pull Pickling Line – PPPL) at Tay Nam Steel is an advanced technology system provided by Tenova – a leading and reputable group from Italy. The line has an operating capacity of up to 1,100,000 tons/year, used to remove rust layers on the surface of hot-rolled steel coils and trim edges to the desired width.

After passing through the pickling line, the used acid is transferred to the acid regeneration line. This line uses modern thermal decomposition technology with a 3-chamber sealed system, operating after the pickling stage to thoroughly treat the acid waste. Thanks to the closed-loop design, all acid is recovered and efficiently reused, contributing to reducing hazardous waste, saving raw material costs, and lowering environmental pollution. The treated exhaust gas is only clean steam, aiming to build a green – clean – and safe factory.
